Basketball Recap: Benjamin Takes a Loss

Benjamin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Olympic Heights Lions and fell 66-30. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 543rd, while the Lions are ranked 145th).

Benjamin's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Olympic Heights, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Benjamin has already played their next matchup (against Jupiter Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Olympic Heights will take on West Boca Raton on Tuesday. Olympic Heights is facing West Boca Raton at the right time seeing as West Boca Raton is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
