Basketball Recap: Wheaton Comes Up Short

Wheaton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Pierce City Eagles and fell 66-33. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Wheaton's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Pierce City, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Wheaton will square off against Jefferson Independent Day at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson Independent Day is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season. As for Pierce City, they will take on New Heights Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. New Heights Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Pierce City likes a good challenge.
