League recap: Oklahoma Christian stuns Millwood in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Oklahoma Christian, who took down 29th ranked Millwood, 22-18. Austin Brooks threw for 198 yards and three touchdowns in the win.

Luther led 2A District 2 in scoring this week after putting up 37 points on Northeast. Maurice Wright ran for 76 yards and caught two passes for 66 yards in the win.

Garrett Kilborn was the best wideout in the league this week as the Saints defeated the Falcons. Kilborn racked up four receptions for 103 yards. Luke Frankfurt helped Oklahoma Christian's passing attack out by catching three balls for 91 yards.

Tazden Jevons was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 228 yards on 29 carries as Dibble topped Millwood. Teammate Nick Hearon added to the ground attack by rushing for 25 yards.

Colton Lindsey put up the best numbers through the air as Christian Heritage bested the Demons. He finished with a total of 14 completions for 121 yards and four touchdowns. Lindsey's favorite target this week was Jacob Blair, who caught six passes for 56 yards.

Derek Turner's team's Brooks and Blake Barnes have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 2A District 2 in both passing and receiving yards. Brooks has thrown for 1301 yards this season, while Barnes, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 23 catches for 426 yards. Jevons from Dibble leads the league in rushing with 1233 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Saints take on JR Conard's team. Oklahoma Christian is currently in first, while the Demons are in third.

There should be lots of points scored when the Saints and Dibble face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Oklahoma Christian comes in having scored 212 this season, while the Demons have scored 206. The Saints scored 22 points last week as they beat Tony Henry's team.

Oklahoma Christian made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,358 from 2,096. The improvement was the result of 22-18 victory over the Falcons last week.
