Preview: Pendleton Bulldogs vs. Walhalla Razorbacks

Pendleton has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Walhalla Razorbacks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Pendleton took a serious blow against Daniel, falling 56-28. While losing is never fun, Pendleton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Daniel is ranked eighth).
Despite the defeat, Pendleton got a solid performance out of Luke Gray, who threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Gray is on a roll when it comes to passing yards, as he's now passed for 300 or more in the last five games he's played. Kory Jones also helped out as he racked up 130 receiving yards.
Walhalla fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 28-19 victory over Seneca on Friday.
Among those leading the charge was Silas Parish, who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Daniel's victory bumped their season record to 9-0 while Pendleton's loss dropped theirs to 7-2.
Pendleton lost to Walhalla on the road by a decisive 70-55 margin in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Pendleton, Bryce Payne (who rushed for 114 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 365 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
