If First Baptist School wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Pinewood Prep, they should've done a better job of containing Silas Brawner. The Panthers breezed past the Hurricanes to the tune of 49-6 on Friday with plenty of help from Brawner, who threw for 262 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt. Pinewood Prep is undefeated when Brawner posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Pinewood Prep, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Tanner Smoak, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

One reason for the win was Pinewood Prep's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Nathan Good, Jayden Parrott, and Dana Moberg, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Pinewood Prep's record is now 6-3. As for First Baptist School, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Pinewood Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 48-28 win against John Paul II on the 30th. As for First Baptist School, they have also already played their next game, a 35-14 defeat against Wilson Hall on the 31st.
