While Pepin/Alma's win against Melrose-Mindoro wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Pepin/Alma won by a run and slipped past Melrose-Mindoro 2-1. That's two games straight that Pepin/Alma has won by just one run.

Pepin/Alma is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Melrose-Mindoro, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.

Coincidentally, Pepin/Alma and Melrose-Mindoro will both be playing Augusta the next time they take the field. Melrose-Mindoro will host Augusta at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Pepin/Alma will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
