Basketball Recap: Raft River Takes a Loss

Raft River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Hagerman Pirates by a score of 67-64. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

Hagerman got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Casen Knight out in front who posted 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks. Another player making a difference was Ky Kendall, who put up 19 points and seven rebounds.

Raft River's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-3. As for Hagerman, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Raft River will welcome Sun Valley Community at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hagerman, they will venture away from home to square off against Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valley will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Hagerman surely won't give up without a fight.
