Basketball Recap: Loretto's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Loretto lost against Burges back in November of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Loretto Angels took a 44-25 bruising from the Burges Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Angels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 932nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 427th).

Loretto's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8. As for Burges, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.

Loretto is taking a road trip to take on Andress at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burges, they will be home for the holidays to greet San Elizario at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
