Moffat is 9-1 against Cripple Creek-Victor since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Moffat's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Preston Heater led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 24 points and nine steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Heater has scored at least a third of Moffat's points. Another player making a difference was Kalman Wallace, who posted four points in addition to 12 boards and eight steals.

Moffat smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-13, which was the final score in Cripple Creek-Victor's tilt against Swallows Charter Academy on Thursday. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cripple Creek-Victor's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Moffat, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Moffat came up short against Cripple Creek-Victor in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 39-30. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Cripple Creek-Victor's Dylan Reyes, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds.
