Basketball Recap: Village Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Village Christian Academy lost against Fayetteville Christian back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Village Christian Academy Knights had to suffer through a 71-31 loss at the hands of the Fayetteville Christian Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 428th, while the Warriors are ranked 210th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fayetteville Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christopher Wooten, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 assists. Those 12 assists gave Wooten a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ethan Durgadin, who went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points.

Village Christian Academy dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Fayetteville Christian, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Village Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Wayne Christian at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Village Christian Academy is facing Wayne Christian at the right time seeing as Wayne Christian is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Fayetteville Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 75-20 win against The O'Neal School on the 11th.
