Softball Recap: Gray-New Gloucester's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Gray-New Gloucester had lost five games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 5-11 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 15-10 victory over the Telstar Rebels. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Patriots considering their one-run performance the match before.

As for Telstar, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6. Even though they lost, their still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.3 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

For Telstar's part, Quinn Coolidge was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Cadie Campbell, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Coming up, Gray-New Gloucester will face off against York at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Telstar, they will challenge Vinalhaven at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight.
