Softball Recap: Childersburg Takes a Loss

Childersburg lost against Lincoln last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Childersburg Tigers fell 7-2 to the Lincoln Golden Bears. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Childersburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Brooks, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Brooks has posted since back in February.

Childersburg now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Lincoln, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7-1 record this season.

Childersburg will square off against Central of Clay County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Childersburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Lincoln, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-6 defeat against Munford on the 14th.
