Basketball Game Preview: Eastern Randolph Wildcats vs. Asheboro Blue Comets

Eastern Randolph is 1-9 against Asheboro since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eastern Randolph Wildcats will host the Asheboro Blue Comets at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Randolph is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Eastern Randolph humbled Western Harnett with a 69-30 victory.

Eastern Randolph's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Gee led the charge by going 7 of 10 on his way to 20 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Gee is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Brower, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points along with six assists and six boards.

Meanwhile, Asheboro unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 56-47 to Randleman.

The victory got Eastern Randolph back to even at 3-3. As for Asheboro, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2.
