Gibbs extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 3-0. They enjoyed a cozy 64-50 win over the Boca Ciega Pirates. The Gladiators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

Gibbs was led to victory by Ronald Williams and Mike Broxton. Williams shot 57% from the field en route to 21 points in addition to six boards and three steals, while Broxton dropped a double-double with 11 points and 17 rebounds. That's the most points Broxton has posted since back in January. Traavi Jones was another key player, going 5-for-6 on his way to 10 points and six rebounds.

Gibbs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive games dating back to last season.

As for Boca Ciega, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keshawn Andrews, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Brown, who went 6-for-9 en route to 16 points and seven boards.

Gibbs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-54 victory against Osceola on the 10th. As for Boca Ciega, they have also already played their next matchup, a 67-62 win against Northeast on the 11th.
