Basketball Recap: Weber Takes a Loss

Weber and Lehi squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Weber had to settle for second. They came up short against the Lehi Pioneers, falling 73-48. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lehi's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Easton Hawkins led the charge by putting up 19 points. Hawkins' evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Ashton Shewell was another key player, earning 19 points.

Weber is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-10. As for Lehi, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.

Weber does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lehi, they will challenge Herriman at 11:10 a.m. on Monday. Herriman will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lehi surely won't give up without a fight.
