Volleyball Recap: Andrew Jackson Academy Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Andrew Jackson Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 2-0 to the King's Academy Lions on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on October 4th.

McKinnley Beard paced Andrew Jackson Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Beard got some help from Bella Carrigg and her 16 assists. Kinslie Carson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Andrew Jackson Academy's loss dropped their record down to 27-9. As for King's Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Andrew Jackson Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Oakbrook Prep on the 25th. As for King's Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Cross on the 25th.
