Baseball Game Preview: Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy Phoenix vs. Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets

The Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy Phoenix will face off against the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Jets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy came out on top against East Hartford on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Phoenix walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Hornets.

Connor Zmeskal was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiernan Zmeskal, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contest, Academy of Aerospace and Engineering brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over Weaver on Monday. The Jets not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 14, 2024 (when they won 12-1).

Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 12.0 runs this season. As for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Academy of Aerospace and Engineering when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-1.
