Basketball Recap: Norwalk Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Joshua Todd and Dylan Izzi

Norwalk fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Ridgefield on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 57-49 to the Ridgefield Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Dylan Izzi and Joshua Todd certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Izzi posted 14 points along with five assists and three steals, while Todd went 5 of 11 en route to 15 points and four steals.

Norwalk's record now sits at 2-6. As for Ridgefield, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Norwalk will head out to square off against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.4 points per game this season. As for Ridgefield, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Santa Barbara at 1:00 p.m. One thing working in Santa Barbara's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
