Basketball Game Preview: Blackduck Drakes vs. Northome/Kelliher Mustangs

Blackduck and Northome/Kelliher are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Drakes are taking a road trip to challenge the Mustangs at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Blackduck might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 82-66 to Red Lake, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Drakes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Northome/Kelliher lost 110-89 to Red Lake on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (77), the Mustangs still had to take the loss.

Northome/Kelliher's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Blackduck, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Blackduck was dealt a bruising 76-40 loss at the hands of Northome/Kelliher in their previous matchup back in January. Can the Drakes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
