Football Game Preview: Honey Grove Warriors vs. Rivercrest Rebels

The Honey Grove Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Rivercrest Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Honey Grove has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 162 points over their last three matchups.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Honey Grove against Como-Pickton as the team secured a 53-19 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Honey Grove relied on the efforts of Ryelan Morris, who rushed for 78 yards and two scores on only six carries, and Jarrmez Daniels, who threw for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven passes. The dominant performance also gave Daniels a new career-high in passer rating (141.4). Lane Foster was in the mix too, providing Honey Grove with one TD.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Rivercrest beat Alba-Golden 34-29 on Friday.

Rivercrest's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Honey Grove, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Honey Grove against Rivercrest in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
