Baseball Recap: Little Axe Takes a Loss

Little Axe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-5 to the Lindsay Leopards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 last Monday.

Stroud Tucker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Little Axe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lindsay, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Little Axe will take on Casady at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Little Axe's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lindsay, they will challenge Chickasha at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chickasha's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Lindsay's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
