Football Recap: Shadow Ridge Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shadow Ridge). Everything went their way against the Las Vegas Wildcats on Friday as the Shadow Ridge Mustangs made off with a 32-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won four contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Aubree Davis was a one-woman wrecking crew for Shadow Ridge as she threw for 176 yards and four touchdowns. Davis has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times she's played. Savanna McDow was another key player, rushing for 82 yards and one touchdown.

Shadow Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ashlyn Mitchell and Jaylani Palmer.

Shadow Ridge pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.4 points per game. As for Las Vegas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Shadow Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 34-0 win against Clark on the 2nd. Las Vegas has also already played their next matchup, a 37-0 victory against Cheyenne on the 2nd.
