Soccer Game Preview: Pikeville vs. Perry County Central

The Pikeville Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Perry County Central Commodores at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Pikeville fell victim to Belfry and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Pirates. Pikeville have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Perry County Central kept a clean sheet against Knott County Central on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Patriots.

The victory got Perry County Central back to even at 1-1. As for Pikeville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Pikeville's way against Perry County Central in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Pikeville made off with a 4-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
