Baseball Game Preview: Spring Valley Vikings vs. West Florence Knights

The Spring Valley Vikings will head out to challenge the West Florence Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring Valley's hitters haven't had much luck over their past six contests, but Friday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

Spring Valley might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to Blythewood, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Spring Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Williams, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Braden Lawton also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, West Florence's undefeated season came to an end after eight games on Tuesday. They fell just short of South Florence by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for West Florence, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.
