Softball Recap: Penns Valley Area Comes Up Short

Penns Valley Area lost against Central Cambria back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rams fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 3-2.

Penns Valley Area's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Central Cambria, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Penns Valley Area will welcome Bellefonte at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rams 2.2, the Raiders 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Central Cambria, they will be playing at home against Huntingdon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Red Devils' favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while the Bearcats have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
