Basketball Game Preview: Bingham Miners vs. Copper Hills Grizzlies

Bingham and Copper Hills are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Bingham Miners will welcome the Copper Hills Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bingham is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

On Tuesday, Bingham got the win against Herriman by a conclusive 53-28. Given the Miners' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Mustangs are ranked 77th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, Copper Hills' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Riverton. The contest was a 15-15 toss-up at halftime, but the Grizzlies couldn't quite close it out.

Bingham is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Copper Hills, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 15-5.
