Basketball Recap: Canyon del Oro Takes a Loss

Canyon del Oro was the 53-45 winner over Mountain View when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Canyon del Oro Dorados took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain View Mountain Lions on Friday.

It was another big night for Isaiah Romero, who went 9 of 21 en route to 30 points and three steals for Mountain View. Romero's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Colin McCalley, who posted seven points.

Canyon del Oro's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Mountain View, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-11.

Looking ahead, Canyon del Oro will be playing in front of their home fans against Casa Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain View, they will head out on the road to take on Catalina Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
