Softball Recap: Albertville Takes a Loss

If Albertville was riding high fresh off their 19-2 takedown of Coosa Christian last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Albertville fell just short of the Kate Duncan Smith DAR Patriots by a score of 6-5 on Thursday.

Albertville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Aaron, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another was Bethany Strickland, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Albertville's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-3. As for Kate Duncan Smith DAR, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7-1.

Albertville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-2 win against Decatur on the 17th. As for Kate Duncan Smith DAR, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-0 victory against Brindlee Mountain on the 17th.
