Basketball Recap: Ramsey Comes Up Short

Ramsey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They were beaten by the Mulberry Grove Aces 73-33. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-20.

It was another big night for Jackson Icenogle, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks for Mulberry Grove. The game was Icenogle's tenth in a row with at least 15 points. Landon Sugg was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.

Ramsey's defeat dropped their record down to 1-25. As for Mulberry Grove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-17.

Ramsey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mulberry Grove, they will head out on the road to challenge North Clay/Clay City at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. North Clay/Clay City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Mulberry Grove likes a good challenge.
