Baseball Recap: Mannford Takes a Loss

Mannford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They came up short against the Perkins-Tryon Demons, falling 10-3. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Demons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 6-5 loss on April 1st.

Mannford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Perkins-Tryon, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.

Mannford and Perkins-Tryon could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Pirates will take on Cushing at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (307 vs. 77). Meanwhile, Perkins-Tryon (ranked 215th) will meet North Rock Creek (ranked 53rd) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
