Baseball Game Preview: Olympia Spartans vs. Maroa-Forsyth Trojans

The Olympia Spartans will venture away from home to take on the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Olympia made up a huge gap compared to their last game against St. Thomas More, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Spartans fell just short of the Sabers by a score of 9-7 on Monday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 10, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, while Maroa-Forsyth put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Casey-Westfield. The Trojans were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Maroa-Forsyth has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Olympia, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Olympia couldn't quite get it done against Maroa-Forsyth in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
