Basketball Recap: Stewarts Creek Takes a Loss

After flying high against Riverdale last Friday, Stewarts Creek came back down to earth. The Stewarts Creek Red Hawks took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers on Tuesday. The match marked the Red Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Warren County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keyton Reno, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Reno is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Deashawn Adams was another key player, going 5 for 6 on his way to 11 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Stewarts Creek has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Warren County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Stewarts Creek will face off against Gallatin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Warren County, they will challenge DeKalb County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Warren County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season.
