Football Recap: San Jacinto Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

San Jacinto kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by the Beaumont Cougars and fell 51-14. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Beaumont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeremiah Duhu led the charge by throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 44 yards and a pair of TDs. A healthy portion of Duhu's aerial production (153 yards to be exact) went to Braedon Miller, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Jacinto will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on King at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beaumont, they will welcome Cathedral at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
