Baseball Recap: Fort Meade Comes Up Short

Fort Meade lost against Mulberry back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Miners fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1.

Fort Meade saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zachary Brooks, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Fort Meade's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Mulberry, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Fort Meade will face off against Lakeland Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mulberry, they will square off against Santa Fe Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
