Basketball Game Preview: Ninilchik Wolverines vs. Seward Seahawks

The Ninilchik Wolverines will challenge the Seward Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Ninilchik's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.

Last Saturday, Ninilchik got the win against Unalaska by a conclusive 60-34. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Kade McCorison was his usual excellent self, going 13-for-27 to rack up 36 points along with eight boards and five assists. The game was his 25th in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Andon McCorison, who went 6-for-12 en route to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Seward, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 58-48 victory over Unalaska on Monday.

Ninilchik's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 22.6 points. As for Seward, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Ninilchik didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Seward in their previous meeting last Friday, but they still walked away with a 56-50 victory. Does Ninilchik have another victory up their sleeve, or will Seward turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
