Soccer Recap: Belen Jesuit Finds Playoff Glory Versus Jackson

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Belen Jesuit walked away with it. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Jackson Generals on Tuesday. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Generals are ranked 228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eduardo Poleo and Luis Garcia-Chacon scored both of Belen Jesuit's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

Belen Jesuit is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those 13 contests. As for Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-1.

Belen Jesuit has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Somerset Academy on the 7th. Jackson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
