Cheyenne Mountain put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Centaurus Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 54-35. The Red-Tailed Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Cheyenne Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sam Hawker led the charge by rushing for 76 yards and three TDs, while also throwing for 106 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five passes. The dominant performance also gave Hawker a new career-high in passer rating (143.8). Another back making a difference was Colt Kugler, who rushed for 119 yards and two scores on only 14 carries.

Cheyenne Mountain's run defense was locked in: Centaurus could only muster -2.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Mason Godshall for the heroic effort on defense: he. Cheyenne Mountain didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.3.

Cheyenne Mountain didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Godshall led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight. Taige Miller was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making four total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Although Centaurus took the loss, they still got scores from Jaden Mack, Carson Thomas, Gabriel Machado, Jackson Roeder, and Nicholas Parana.

Cheyenne Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Centaurus, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
