Volleyball Recap: West Holt Has No Trouble Against Wausa

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Elkhorn Valley, West Holt was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Wausa Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Huskies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant West Holt was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-13.

Avery Nemetz paced West Holt's offense, picking up 11 kills. Nemetz got some help from Pavan Larson and her 22 assists.

West Holt is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Wausa, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

West Holt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Boyd County on the 9th. As for Wausa, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Chambers/Wheeler Central on the 9th.
