Basketball Recap: Temple Christian Drops Season-High Score on Appalachian Christian School

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Temple Christian). They claimed a resounding 54-27 victory over the Appalachian Christian School Trailblazers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Crusaders have posted since February 6, 2024.

Temple Christian found their leader in sophomore Emily DeStafano, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 31 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points DeStafano has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Paylin Harris, who posted eight points.

Temple Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Temple Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Appalachian Christian School, their record now sits at 1-11.

As of now, neither Temple Christian nor Appalachian Christian School have any future games scheduled.
