Volleyball Recap: Burton Comes Up Short

Burton was the 3-1 winner over Neuwirth Leadership Academy when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Burton Scorpions fell just short of the Neuwirth Leadership Academy Boxers by a score of 3-2 on Monday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Burton sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 20-25, 25-17, 21-25, 15-11.

Burton's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Neuwirth Leadership Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Coming up, Burton will head out to take on Garfield at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Neuwirth Leadership Academy, they will host Los Angeles Academy of Arts & Enterprise at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be Los Angeles Academy of Arts & Enterprise's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
