Football Game Preview: Boonton Bombers vs. Roselle Park Panthers

After both having extra time off, the Boonton Bombers and the Roselle Park Panthers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Boonton has given up an average of 28.2 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Boonton is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Cedar Grove on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bombers were outmatched by the Panthers and fell 49-7. The Bombers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Despite the loss, Boonton got top-tier performance from Isa Kupa, who rushed for 109 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Kupa also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble, making nine total tackles, and defending one pass.

Meanwhile, Roselle Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 26-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Spotswood.

Boonton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Roselle Park, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
