Softball Game Preview: Greenwood Rangers vs. Pampa Harvesters

For the second straight game, Greenwood will face off against Pampa. The Rangers will face off against the Harvesters at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenwood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Greenwood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Pampa.

Addison Arredondo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Arredondo was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Farrah Fortner was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Mae Savage was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.

The win got Greenwood back to even at 15-15-1. As for Pampa, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.

Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Greenwood hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. However, it's not like Pampa struggles in that department as they've averaged .426. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
