Football Game Preview: Gowanda/Pine Valley Central Panthers vs. Newfane Panthers

Gowanda/Pine Valley Central will face off against Newfane at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Gowanda/Pine Valley Central sitting on three straight victories and Newfane on six.

Gowanda/Pine Valley Central will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Franklinville/Ellicottville, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Panthers came out on top against the Titans by a score of 44-34 on Friday. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but the Panthers were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newfane). They claimed a resounding 58-8 win over Allegany-Limestone. Considering the Panthers have won four games by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Gowanda/Pine Valley Central's record now sits at 5-1. As for Newfane, their record is now 6-0.
