Volleyball Recap: Struthers Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Struthers, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cardinal Mooney Cardinals on Monday. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The final score came out to 25-18, 26-28, 25-21, 25-16.

Elliana Benson had an outrageously good game as she had 13 digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (17). Another player making a difference was Madison Marshall, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Struthers moved to 2-4 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Cardinal Mooney, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Struthers will square off against Chaney at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cardinal Mooney, they will face off against Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
