Basketball Game Preview: Jacksboro Tigers vs. Tolar Rattlers

The Jacksboro Tigers will challenge the Tolar Rattlers at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Jacksboro will be strutting in after a win while Tolar will be coming in after a loss.

Jacksboro took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They snuck past Holliday with a 53-48 victory.

Jacksboro's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Brailyn Tullous, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 13 points and three steals, and Hayden Walker, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Tullous is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Lowther, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, Tolar suffered their biggest defeat since November 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 52-32 to Comanche. The Rattlers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Tolar's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-10. As for Jacksboro, their win bumped their record up to 18-12.

Everything came up roses for Jacksboro against Tolar in their previous meeting back in December of 2020, as the squad secured a 60-29 victory. Does Jacksboro have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tolar turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
