Basketball Recap: South Garner Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

South Garner had won four straight road games and Taylor Moore did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The South Garner Titans were the clear victor by a 72-51 margin over the Clayton Comets thanks in part to Moore, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kimaya Barnes, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played.

South Garner has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Clayton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

South Garner didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-41 victory against Willow Spring on the 31st. As for Clayton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 75-71 defeat against Garner on the 31st.
