Richton and Lake squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Richton had to settle for second. They lost 18-9 to the Lake Hornets. Richton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Richton got a massive performance out of Will Henderson, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Tyler Pierce, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.
Even though they lost, Richton lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
On Lake's side, they got a massive performance out of Trey Gray, who scored four runs while going 3-for-3. Griffin Boles was another key contributor, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI and a run.
Richton's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Lake, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-7.
