Basketball Recap: Alief Taylor Lions vs. Memorial Mustangs
Alief Taylor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell to the Memorial Mustangs 52-48. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Alief Taylor still got an impressive performance from Sean Kongolo, who posted 17 points in addition to two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Ratcliff, who scored 12 points.
Alief Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Memorial, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alief Taylor will head out to face off against Fort Bend Hightower at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Memorial, they will challenge Aldine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
