Volleyball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lowell Red Devils. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Highland sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-23, 19-25, 25-17, 17-25, 15-10.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lowell, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Highland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Merrillville on the 27th. As for Lowell, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Hobart on the 28th.
