Volleyball Preview: Agape Christian Knights vs. Elverado Falcons
After both having extra time off, the Agape Christian Knights and the Elverado Falcons will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Friday, Agape Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Cobden and fell 2-1. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Agape Christian sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-11, 19-25, 25-19.
Meanwhile, Elverado beat Agape Christian 2-0 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.
While Elverado won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-25.
Elverado can attribute much of their success to Jaylen Marshall, who had 11 digs.
Agape Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7. As for Elverado, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
